    Online Account Registration

    1. Why is there a new process to login?
      The new login process was put into place to make things easier for you. After registering for an online account you no longer need to enter your Petro-Points number; you can just enter your email address and password in order to access all of your account information. As a bonus, you will receive 2,500 Petro-Points within 24 hours of registering.

    2. I receive emails from Petro-Points™ but I can’t log in with my email address. Why?
      In order to log in with your email address, you must complete the registration process for an online account even if you currently receive emails from Petro-Points. The reason for this is that you must select a password and security questions in order to ensure the security of your account.

    3. I am already registered. Why can’t I access my account?
      Even if you could access your Petro-Points account in the past (before August 2009), you will now have to register for an online account in order to access your account. Once set up, the new login process is much easier; just enter your email and password – no need to remember your Petro-Points number.

    4. I registered for an online account and didn’t receive the confirmation email. Why?
      Please check your junk mail folder to ensure that the confirmation was not directed there. Also, please check to ensure that you are using the same email address that you attempted to register with.

    5. I accidentally registered for a new Petro-Points account instead of an online account. What should I do now?
      Please call Customer Service at 1 (800) 668-0220 to resolve the situation.

    6. My partner and I share the same email address but have separate Petro-Points accounts. Why can’t we both register for an online account?
      In order to register for an online account, you must use a unique email address because this is what determines what account information to display.

    7. I am trying to register for an online account but it keeps saying my Petro-Points number is wrong. Why?
      Please check to ensure that you are entering a 16-digit number. If you still can’t register, please contact customer service at 1 (800) 668-0220.

    8. I can’t reset my password as it says my email isn’t registered but I get emails from
      Petro-Points. Why?

      If you have not registered for an online account after August 2009, there is no password set up for your account even if you currently get emails from Petro-Points. Please register for an online account if you have not already done so and you will be asked to create a password for your account.

    9. Why do I have to answer two security questions?
      In order to keep your account information and Petro-Points safe, we require that two security questions be set up on your account. This ensures that you are the only one able to access your account and redeem your points online.

    10. I have registered for an online account after August 2009 but I can’t remember my password. What should I do?
      Please follow the process for resetting your password if you have registered for an online account after August 2009. You can do this by clicking on the link above or by visiting the login page and clicking on the “Forgot your password” link.

    11. I registered my email address to the wrong Petro-Points account. How can I transfer it to the right account?
      Please call Customer Service at 1 (800) 668-0220 and they will help ensure that your email is transferred to the right account.

    12. I received a confirmation email, but I got an application error when I clicked the confirmation link. Why?
      Some email applications convert emails into plain text. When this happens, your validation URL will no longer be “clickable”. To get around this issue, copy and paste the entire URL into your browser. If the email validation URL appears on two lines, be sure to copy and paste both parts of the URL into your browser window, so that the URL is complete.

    13. Why can’t I print my temporary Petro-Points card again?
      In order to keep your account free of fraudulent activity, you are provided with a one-time opportunity to print your temporary Petro-Points card. Please wait to receive your permanent Petro-Points card in the mail within five to seven business days.

    14. I get an error when trying to balance protect my card (i.e., Fuel Savings Reward Card, Car Wash Season Pass or Preferred Price Card™). What should I do?
      Your card may already be registered to somebody else (for example a family member). In this case, the system will not allow you to register the card under your account. If this is not the case and you continue to receive an error, please call Customer Service at 1 (800) 668-0220.

    15. I had originally declined to become a Petro-Points member, however I would like to join the Petro-Points program now. How do I do this?
      If you are already registered with an online account:
      • Log in into your account and select Update My Info from the right
        navigation menu.
      • At the bottom of the page, check “Yes, please sign me up for
        Petro-Points™ so I can collect points and redeem for rewards!” If this option does not appear, please call Customer Service at 1 (800) 668-0220.

      If you are not registered for an online account, enrol in the Petro-Points program now. When you join Petro-Points, you get access to an account where you can manage your Petro-Points information online.
